# `IMDS.Providers.Akamai`

Akamai Cloud Computing (Linode) metadata service.

The provider asks for a session token with `PUT /v1/token` and sends the
token in the `Metadata-Token` header of the metadata requests of one
operation. The token lives 3600 seconds, the maximum that the service
accepts, and the provider keeps no token between calls.

The instance document comes from `/v1/instance` as JSON, which needs the
`Accept: application/json` header. It reports the instance identifier, the
region, the instance type, and the account EUUID, which the identity map
returns as `scope_id`. The service reports no zone, so `zone` is `nil`.

Detection needs a token and an instance document with an identifier and a
region.
