# `IMDS.Providers.Vultr`

Vultr instance metadata service.

The service answers on the link-local address `169.254.169.254`. No request
needs an authentication header. `/v1.json` returns the whole metadata
document.

The document reports the instance identifiers and the region code, for
example `EWR`. The identity uses the version 2 identifier when the document
holds one. The document reports no machine type, no zone, and no owner
scope, so `instance_type`, `zone`, and `scope_id` are `nil`.

Detection needs an instance identifier and a region code in the document.
